கடவுள் எனக்கு ஒரு அந்நியர் வழியாக  ரூபாய் 10 அனுப்பினார் !!

I used to xerox useful articles from newspapers for Rs.10 or Rs.15 and circulate them freely to all. I will give to people I  meet in my friend's shops. Sometimes I go to certain broad minded people's place and give it.

நான் பயனுள்ள கட்டுரைகளை ரூ.10 அல்லது ரூ.15 க்கு செய்தித்தாள்களில் இருந்து ஸெரொக்ஸ் எடுத்து, அனைவருக்கும் அவற்றை இலவசமாக விநியோகிக்கிறேன்.

என் நண்பர் கடைகளில் நான் சந்திக்கும் மக்களுக்கு நான் இதை கொடுப்பேன். சில நேரங்களில் நான் சில பரந்த மனப்பான்மை உடைய மக்களின் இடம் தேடிச் சென்று அதை கொடுப்பேன்.

Once a few years ago (2014) I took ten xerox copies of an article and was distributing them with great physical efforts. Climbing staircases, spending my time i.e. waiting for my turn to talk with the owner etc. And also ensure that the person is in a receptive mood.

I liked doing it because it was for a noble cause. For me it was like waiting in a queue in a temple, to have a glimpse of God.

On that day, I entered the yarn Association building at Muniappan Temple Street in Shevapet. 

Nostalgia ! It was a building complex that has 12 shops, about four shops in each floor. It was in that building, decades ago my maternal uncle ran a yarn business. I had gone there many times when I was a small boy.

அந்த நாளில், நான் செவ்வாய் பேட்டையில் உள்ள முனியயப்பன் கோயில் தெருவில் நூல் சங்கத்தின் கட்டிடத்தில் நுழைந்தேன்.

அந்த நாள் நினைவுகள்!

இது 12 கடைகள் கொண்ட ஒரு கட்டிட வளாகம். ஒவ்வொரு தளத்திலும் நான்கு கடைகள் உள்ளன. அந்த கட்டிடத்தில் பல தசாப்தங்களுக்கு முன்னர் எனது தாய் மாமா ஒரு நூல் வியாபாரத்தை நடத்தியது நினைவிற்கு வந்தது. நான் ஒரு சிறு பையனாக இருந்தபோது பல முறை அங்கு சென்றிருந்தேன்.

I entered the first shop and said I wanted to meet the manager of the building. I got a vague reply. And that he will not always be there. 

I said that I have nothing important to discuss with him. And said that I just came to distribute some notices. I added that it contains useful matter and issued a copy to him.

நான் முதல் கடையில் நுழைந்தேன் மற்றும் கட்டிடத்தின் மேலாளரை சந்திக்க விருப்பம் தெரிவித்தேன். எனக்கு தெளிவற்ற பதில் கிடைத்தது. அவர் எப்போதும் அங்கு இருக்க மாட்டார் என்று.

The owner of the shop  was keenly hearing what I say. I gave the notices with my left hand. He was hearing me talk to him very boldly. 

He thought that I was one of those physically challenged persons who give a paper and seek some alms. It will be written in the paper that this person is deaf and mute, and if possible please help him/her.

கடையின் உரிமையாளர் நான் சொல்வதை கவனமாக கேட்டார். அவருக்கும் ஒரு  நோட்டீஸ் கொடுத்தேன். நான் என் இடது கையில் நோட்டீஸ் கொடுத்தேன். அவரிடம் நான் மிகவும் தைரியமாக  பேசினேன்.

அவர் என்னை தவறாக நினைத்து விட்டார் போல தெரிகிறது. உடல் சவால் உடைய நபர்கள்  "இவருக்கு பேசவராது, காது கேட்டாது" என்று டாக்டரால்  எழுதிய ஒரு காகிதத்தை கொடுத்து காசு கேட்கும் நபர்களில் ஒருவர் நான் என்று நினைத்துவிட்டார்.

So the person immediately gave me Rs.10. He was afraid that if I stay there a moment more, I may demand more money.

எனவே உடனடியாக எனக்கு ரூ .10 வழங்கினார். நான் இன்னும் ஒரு கணம் அங்கு இருந்தால் கூட நான் அதிக பணம் கேட்கலாம் என்று அவர் பயந்துவிட்டார் போல.

For a second I felt very insulted, like a beggar. However, I suppressed my anger and pacified myself and became normal. Soon my inner voice said, "Hey Ezhilarasan, God had given you Rs.10 more for your noble cause. Dont hesitate, please get it and go ahead. Make ten more copies and give to ten more people. That's it."

ஒரு கனம் ஒரு பிச்சைக்காரனைப் போல, நான் மிகவும் அவமானமாக உணர்ந்தேன். எனினும், நான் என் கோபத்தை ஒடுக்கி, என்னை சமாதானப்படுத்தி சாதாரணமாக ஆனேன்.

I immediately went to the same xerox shop and made ten more copies. Then I distributed it to ten extra people as per God's wish.

நான் உடனடியாக அதை வாங்கி க் கொண்டு அதே ஜெராக்ஸ் கடைக்குச் சென்று இன்னும் பத்து நகல்கள் எடுத்தேன். பின்னர் நான்  "கடவுளின் விருப்பப்படி" பத்து கூடுதல் மக்களுக்கு அதை விநியோகித்தேன்.

Hindus do poojas every Friday spending about Rs.100 each time. But due to my special family background we don't do it in our house at all right from my childhood. So in lieu of this, for years, I used to do a simple social service.

ஒவ்வொரு வெள்ளிக்கிழமையும் சுமார் நூறு ரூபாய்க்கு இந்துக்கள் பூஜை செலவு செய்கிறார்கள். ஆனால் என் "சிறப்பு" குடும்ப பின்னணி காரணமாக நான் என் குழந்தை பருவத்தில் இருந்து எங்கள் வீட்டில் அதை செய்வதில்லை.
